Wyoming Child & Family Development (WCFD) is a private, non-profit organization, founded in 1965. We provide Head Start, Early Head Start, Developmental Disabilities, and other comprehensive preschool services for children from birth through 5 years of age and their families. We have about 200 employees, working in 14 service locations in an 8 county region of Wyoming.

Early Head Start Family Support Provider – Newcastle, WY

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: To plan and implement home-based learning experiences that ensure effective implementation of the home visiting curriculum and promote children’s progress across the standards described in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework: Ages Birth to Five, including for children with disabilities and dual language learners, as appropriate, and to build respectful, culturally responsive, and trusting relationships with families. To provide a developmentally appropriate environment that is safe, secure and stimulating for children from birth to three years of age. To ensure that pregnant women in the program receive consistent and appropriate care and information to ensure a positive start for their newborns.  To collaborate with parents and to facilitate in assisting parents to be their child’s first teacher.  To promote developmentally appropriate childcare in the community through community partnership and promotion.

Center Technician – Gillette, WY

Center Technician – Torrington, WY

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:  Performs secretarial and typing/word processing tasks, as assigned, for the smooth operation of the Center.  Answers the phone and greets children, families, and community members in a professional and welcoming manner.  The Center Technician is also responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of forms, office supplies, and equipment on hand and their maintenance.

Paraeducator – Gillette, WY

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: To ensure and provide a developmentally appropriate and safe environment for children birth to three years of age, that promotes exploration, learning, and the formation of secure and trusting relationships.  To assist the Teacher/Family Support Provider in the preparation of materials and the set-up of the learning environment. To provide consistent, primary care that is individualized to meet the needs of each child and family enrolled in the preschool program.

Family Advocate – Guernsey, WY

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of children in the Early Childhood Center.  Responsible for identifying the needs of the child and his/her family.  With the assistance of other staff members, takes appropriate action to meet those needs and furnish appropriate referrals and follow-up.  Promotes Parent, Family and Community Engagement activities in the center, community and in the child’s home.  Responsible for individual assistance to children and families in the areas of child development, health, nutrition, and school readiness.
