Wyoming Child & Family Development (WCFD) is a private, non-profit organization, founded in 1965. We provide Head Start, Early Head Start, Developmental Disabilities, and other comprehensive preschool services for children from birth through 5 years of age and their families. We have about 200 employees, working in 14 service locations in an 8 county region of Wyoming.

Family Advocate/Center Technician – Mills, WY

Family Advocate
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of children in the Early Childhood Center.  Responsible for identifying the needs of the child and his/her family.  With the assistance of other staff members, takes appropriate action to meet those needs and furnish appropriate referrals and follow-up.  Promotes Parent, Family and Community Engagement activities in the center, community and in the child’s home.  Responsible for individual assistance to children and families in the areas of child development, health, nutrition, and school readiness.

Center Technician
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:  Performs secretarial and typing/word processing tasks, as assigned, for the smooth operation of the Center.  Answers the phone and greets children, families, and community members in a professional and welcoming manner.  The Center Technician is also responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of forms, office supplies, and equipment on hand and their maintenance.

Paraeducator – Early Head Start – Casper, WY

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:  To ensure and provide a developmentally appropriate and safe environment for children birth to three years of age, that promotes exploration, learning, and the formation of secure and trusting relationships.  To assist the EHS Teacher/Family Support Provider in the preparation of materials and the set-up of the learning environment. To provide consistent, primary care that is individualized to meet the needs of each child and family enrolled in the EHS program.

Cook – Lusk, WY

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Responsible for planning and preparing the daily meals and snacks for program children.
  • Responsible for providing reports of food production.
  • Responsible for implementing standard health practices and procedures as outlined by Wyoming Child and Family Development, The State of Wyoming, and other licensing agencies.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Under the direction of the Center Coordinator provides general support and assistance in all aspects of the program, which include, but are not limited to assisting in the classroom and/or the bus, maintenance of child files, public relations and recruiting, answering phones, data entry, and maintenance of building and grounds.  Must be able to meet timelines and manage multiple priorities.  Must be reliable, organized and detail-oriented.  Must have interpersonal skills and be able to meet the public and work with program staff.
