Wyoming Child & Family Development (WCFD) is a private, non-profit organization, founded in 1965. We provide Head Start, Early Head Start, Developmental Disabilities, and other comprehensive preschool services for children from birth through 5 years of age and their families. We have about 200 employees, working in 14 service locations in an 8 county region of Wyoming.

Building & Grounds Specialist - 35 hrs.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: To assist the Executive Director and management team in the planning, direction, coordination, and implementation of Wyoming Child and Family Development’s building and grounds maintenance, safety and security; ensuring that all State regulations and Head Start Performance Standards are met.

Teacher Early Head Start - Full Day 40hrs. - Casper

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: To provide developmentally appropriate experiences that promote exploration, learning and the formation of secure and trusting relationships for children birth to three years. To partner with parents and support them as their child's first teacher. To provide developmentally appropriate childcare, and to collaborate with partner agencies throughout the community.

Health Advocate - 35 hrs. - Torrington

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Work with Health Services Coordinator to implement the following health components throughout WCFD Early Childhood Programs: general health, oral health, health education, and nutrition to ensure that all children and pregnant women receive the maximum health care as required by the State Statutes and Head Start Performance Standards.

Teacher – Combination Program Option - 40 hrs. - Casper Head Start

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: To provide a developmentally appropriate early childhood education program which will facilitate the growth of children toward the overall goal of social competence and school readiness. Responsible for identifying the needs of each enrolled child and his/her family. With the assistance of other staff members, takes appropriate action to meet those needs and furnish appropriate referrals and follow-up.

Long-Term Substitute - 40 hrs. - Casper Early Head Start

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: To replace the regular staff in his/her absence. To provide, as closely as possible, the same successful instructional and learning environment that would exist if the regular staff were in attendance. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for planning and preparing the daily meals and snacks for program children. Must provide reports of food production. Responsible for implementing standard health practices and procedures as outlined by Wyoming Child and Family Development, The State of Wyoming, and other licensing agencies.

Center Assistant for 20 hrs. combined with a Paraeducator Head Start Part Day at 17 hrs. - Gillette

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: CENTER ASSISTANT - Under the direction of the Center Coordinator provides general support and assistance in all aspects of the program which include, but are not limited to: assisting in the classroom and/or the bus, maintenance of child files, public relations and recruiting, answering phones, data entry, and maintenance of building and grounds. Must be able to meet timelines and manage multiple priorities. Must be reliable, organized and detail oriented. Must have interpersonal skills and be able to meet the public and work with program staff. PARAEDUCATOR - To assist the teacher/home visitor in providing an individualized developmentally appropriate early childhood education program with the overall goal of social competence and school readiness for each child.

Three Speech Language Pathologists - 35hrs - Goshen, Converse, and Niobrara Counties

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: To serve as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to evaluate children between the ages of birth through five (5), and to assist in the development of Individual Education Plans (IEP) or Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP). To provide individual therapy to children. To provide training to staff and parents in the areas of expressive and receptive language skills, oral motor functioning abilities, and remediation or adaptations to provide services for hearing impaired children and provide appropriate documentation of those services.

Family Advocate - 20 hrs and/or Bus Driver - 7.5 hrs - Lusk

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Family Advocate: Responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of children in the Early Childhood Center. Responsible for identifying the needs of the child and his/her family. With the assistance of other staff members, takes appropriate action to meet those needs and furnish appropriate referrals and follow-up. Promotes Parent, Family and Community Engagement activities in the center, community and in the child’s home. Responsible for individual assistance to children and families in the areas of child development, health, nutrition, and school readiness.
Bus Driver: To safely transport children and families to and from the center and bus maintenance.
