Wyoming Child & Family Development (WCFD) is a private, non-profit organization, founded in 1965. We provide Head Start, Early Head Start, Developmental Disabilities, and other comprehensive preschool services for children from birth through 5 years of age and their families. We have about 200 employees, working in 14 service locations in an 8 county region of Wyoming.

High School Paraeducator - 29hrs/Early Head Start Paraeducator 7hrs - Glenrock

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: High School Paraeducator: To assist the teacher/home visitor in providing an individualized developmentally appropriate early childhood education program with the overall goal of social competence and school readiness for each child.
Early Head Start Paraeducator: To ensure and provide a developmentally appropriate and safe environment for children birth to three years of age, that promotes exploration, learning, and the formation of secure and trusting relationships. To assist the EHS Teacher/Home Visitor in the preparation of materials and the set-up of the learning environment. To provide consistent, primary care that is individualized to meet the needs of each child and family enrolled in the EHS program.

Family Advocate - 20hrs. / Bus Driver - 7.5hrs. - Lusk

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Family Advocate: Responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of children in the Early Childhood Center. Responsible for identifying the needs of the child and his/her family. With the assistance of other staff members, takes appropriate action to meet those needs and furnish appropriate referrals and follow- up. Promotes Parent, Family and Community Engagement activities in the center, community and in the child’s home. Responsible for individual assistance to children and families in the areas of child development, health, nutrition, and school readiness.

Cook - Wheatland

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for planning and preparing the daily meals and snacks for program children. Must provide reports of food production. Responsible for implementing standard health practices and procedures as outlined by Wyoming Child and Family Development, The State of Wyoming, and other licensing agencies.

Early Head Start Family Support Provider - Douglas - 35hrs.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: To plan and implement home-based learning experiences that ensure effective implementation of the home visiting curriculum and promote children’s progress across the standards described in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework: Ages Birth to Five, including for children with disabilities and dual language learners, as appropriate, and to build respectful, culturally responsive, and trusting relationships with families. To provide a developmentally appropriate environment that is safe, secure and stimulating for children from birth to three years of age. To ensure that pregnant women in the program receive consistent and appropriate care and information to ensure a positive start for their newborns. To partner with parents and to facilitate in assisting parents to be their child’s first teacher. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: To serve as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to evaluate children between the ages of birth through five (5), and to assist in the development of Individual Education Plans (IEP) or Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP). To provide individual therapy to children. To provide training to staff and parents in the areas of expressive and receptive language skills, oral motor functioning abilities, and remediation or adaptations to provide services for hearing impaired children and provide appropriate documentation of those services.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Performs secretarial and typing/word processing tasks, as assigned, for the smooth operation of the Center. Answers the phone and greets children, families, and community members in a professional and welcoming manner. The Center Technician is also responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of forms, office supplies, and equipment on hand and their maintenance.
