Wyoming Child & Family Development (WCFD) is a private, non-profit organization, founded in 1965. We provide Head Start, Early Head Start, Developmental Disabilities, and other comprehensive preschool services for children from birth through 5 years of age and their families. We have about 200 employees, working in 14 service locations in an 8 county region of Wyoming.

Preschool Academy Teacher - 40 hrs. - Torrington

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: To provide effective and nurturing teacher-child interactions, plan and implement learning experiences that ensure effective curriculum implementation and use of assessment and promote children’s progress according to state early learning and development standards, including for children with disabilities and dual language learners, as appropriate. To partner with parents and to facilitate in assisting parents to be their child’s first teacher.

Instructional Support Specialist - Casper

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: To assist the Education Coordinator in the planning and mentoring of new teaching/classroom staff within Wyoming Child and Family Development, Inc. This position will assist the Education Coordinator in advancing child development and family focused programs within Wyoming Child and Family Development, Inc. by providing guidance and expertise to classroom staff that enhances and develops skills that are directly applicable to a successful learning environment. Family Advocate - 35 hrs. - Casper

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of children in the Early Childhood Center. Responsible for identifying the needs of the child and his/her family. With the assistance of other staff members, takes appropriate action to meet those needs and furnish appropriate referrals and follow-up. Promotes Parent, Family and Community Engagement activities in the center, community and in the child’s home. Responsible for individual assistance to children and families in the areas of child development, health, nutrition, and school.

EHS Paraeducator - Casper Early Head Start - 40 hrs.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: To ensure and provide a developmentally appropriate and safe environment for children birth to three years of age, that promotes exploration, learning, and the formation of secure and trusting relationships. To assist the EHS Teacher/Family Support Provider in the preparation of materials and the set-up of the learning environment. To provide consistent, primary care that is individualized to meet the needs of each child and family enrolled in the EHS program.

Three Speech Language Pathologists - 35hrs - Goshen, Converse, and Niobrara Counties

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: To serve as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to evaluate children between the ages of birth through five (5), and to assist in the development of Individual Education Plans (IEP) or Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP). To provide individual therapy to children. To provide training to staff and parents in the areas of expressive and receptive language skills, oral motor functioning abilities, and remediation or adaptations to provide services for hearing impaired children and provide appropriate documentation of those services.
