Wyoming Child & Family Development (WCFD) is a private, non-profit organization, founded in 1965. We provide Head Start, Early Head Start, Developmental Disabilities, and other comprehensive preschool services for children from birth through 5 years of age and their families. We have about 300 employees, working in 15 service locations in an 9 county region of Wyoming.

Cook Assistant – Wheatland, WY

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:  Responsible for helping the Cook prepare the daily meals and snacks for the Center.  Responsible for maintaining standard health practices and procedures as outlined by Wyoming Child and Family Development, The State of Wyoming, and other licensing agencies.

Center Coordinator/Education Specialist – Lusk, WY

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for all aspects of the program which include, but are not limited to: curriculum/education, staff supervision and evaluation, staff development, record keeping, public relations, and maintenance of building and grounds. Responsible for coordinating and ensuring the implementation of all program requirements for each component. Must be able to meet timelines and manage multiple priorities. Management and supervisory skills, and comprehensive knowledge of program development required. Must be reliable, organized, and detail-oriented. Must have interpersonal skills and be able to meet the public and work with program staff.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:  To provide effective and nurturing teacher-child interactions, plan and implement learning experiences that ensure effective curriculum implementation and use of assessment and promote children’s progress across the standards described in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework: Ages Birth to Five and applicable state early learning and development standards, including for children with disabilities and dual language learners, as appropriate.  To partner with parents and to facilitate in assisting parents to be their child’s first teacher.

Nutrition Specialist – Flexible Location

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Provide over-site and ensure compliance for the Child and Adult Care Food Program.  Ensure safe food service practices are followed in WCFD centers Facilitate opportunities to provide nutrition experiences for children and families.  Must have the interpersonal skills to work with cooks, teaching staff, children, parents, and county/state agencies.
